Shakirangrance

The new mommie launched her new scent S by Shakira at Sephora Champs Elysees, Paris yesterday from 5.30 pm. Fans gathered hours before she arrived, the red carpet was set, photographers, reporters all was ready 3 hours before her arrival.

And when she arrived she was greeted with load cheers no doubt about that because we love her so much. The crowd mainly consisted of Latin Americas it felt like Columbia. People with Columbia flags and Columbia soccer team tee shirts with the name Shakira waited for her.
She just did not walk through the red carpet but was there for a while and interacted with her fans waiting for hours. What gift for her fans who waited to get a glimpse got more she actually shared her presence shaking hands, signing, speaking in Spanish.

At the press release podium she signed many perfume boxes of the new S, posters for her fans. She was so warm and hugged every fan who approached her for the signing as if she new knew them personally.

An online article in July 2010 let out the upcoming venture of the perfume but I guess the launch was delayed as she had more to do with family life and becoming a mommie. We are all happy for her becoming a mommie of a beautiful child and Dad. The manufacturers Jose Manuel Albesa of Puig seem to have done a good job by introducing notes that matches Shakira's personality. Shakira has a child in her with her innocent eyes, sparkling smile, beautiful heart and baby skin we skip a heart beat. "Like a song, a perfume has different notes which together are in harmony" Shakira said of the experience. "My feeling is that personal care and beauty should not only be effortless but also accessible for everyone" she added. That's why you'll find S, encased in packaging with gold accents in both midtier depart stores and drugstores.
Since she is a people's person placing the product in an affordable range will bring a lot of beneifit to the company and so makes us fall in love with her even more.

The notes are jasmine, white floral, benzoin, amber, vanilla, amber, sandlewood they are so much like her a woman and a child. The packaging are in 15,30 and 50ml and prices between 17 to 35 $. We already see the future expansion of this product because no doubt about the fragrance notes but also because it has emotion and packed with love by the senorita.

At The Oscars 2013

The Oscars are hyped a great deal by every media possible. Who is going to win? Who is hosting? and most importantly the question that is said a 1000 times Who are you wearing? I doubt if it grammatically correct. Not that I am a Queen's English expert but because I feel I am not all that bad too.

Although as a child I always considered the Queen to be my Grandmother in law. Phew. So back to the Oscars. So the guests start coming at around 3pm to 4 pm in ascending order importance they arrive. Me, my husband Prashant and my very cool New Yorker Carrie version friend Marilyn. She has got the same crazy curly blond hair. We left home n reached there by 12 pm. We were very very lucky to get a parking just behind Kodak theater which is the hall where the Oscars happen every year.

The whole road plan in Hollywood was so confusing with so many roads blocked. There was no way to be even closer to the Main event. Luckily my very smart husband realized a residential place behind the Kodak we waited in red line spot a couple of minutes and boom i guess i bring a lot of luck in times like this. We got a spot right on the red carpet and had to wait for 3 hours in the sun. I had prepared chicken tacos, dhoklas (lentil cakes), energy bars, dosa. I know it sounds like two meals but atleast I am prepared for the worse.

The 3 hour long wait went quick because there were these who cares Tv, Radio guys interviewing and motivating us by reminding who all we are keen to see today. There were two french guys and a couple on my either sides. The occasional smoking of the French guys bothered me and the girl talking about how much she was to see Jennifer Lawrence irritated me. I made some friends and have good view of Los Angeles strong Cops. Thank God those cops were there they kept me strong to wait and wait watching them!!

There were hosts and hostesses from the Renaissance hotel who assembled with parking tags for the guests limos.

3pm so many limos in military discipline who park in 3 lanes marked on the red carpet assembling right infront of one host/hostess. I was impressed by the co ordination. 9 limos opened at a time and out came people who looked so normal and my imagination was just a bubble. We didn't recognized anyone not only us but the crowd was lost too then some known stars started coming which made our wit worth. But the truth is the stars look so much normal, the make up shades just come in the camera I guess. Some gowns were beautiful but most were just ok maybe a big designer name but looks like any other evening gown. Even Anil Ambani and his wife the business tycoon from India were there.

I felt the best ones to see in reality were Jennifer Garner, Amy Adams, Halle Berry, Jane Fonda, George Clooney, Michael Douglas. The best gown was all three ladies again.

Finally the day came to an end we didn't all that i made while waiting but we did have them in the car on our way back home. A tiring yet memorable day many this got a reality check that those stars there were born with dust over them its their hard work, talent, hunger for success that brushes off their dust and make them shine. They look just normal the only difference that make them shine is that they are on the other side of the fence on a land carpeted red, with more expensive cars, designer clothes, limos, on the other side of the fence where people who waited for 3 to 5 hours just to watch 10 secs for their glimpse.
